Caroline Polich is a painter from New Hampshire based in Virginia and New Jersey. Caroline will receive her B.A. in Studio Art at Drew University in May 2021. Working with watercolor on paper, she creates paintings that explore landscape painting traditions, climate change, and psychological elements in nature. Her paper plant sculptures explore the relationships between beauty and vulgarity, illness and health, and painting and sculpture.
Caroline’s work has been exhibited in several locations in the United States as well as in Florence, Italy; at venues including Second Street Gallery, Green Point Gallery, Drew University’s Korn Gallery, SACI Gallery, and the Gallery at WREN. Since 2018, she has worked for the Drew University Art Department as a Studio & Gallery Assistant, as well as the Digital & Social Media Assistant. In 2019, Caroline received the Experiential Learning Award in Art from Drew University, a scholarship to attend a two week painting marathon at the New York Studio School in New York, NY. After she graduates, Caroline hopes to have a solo show.
